About the Author

Eva Mae Ramble was born in the city of San Diego, California, during the sultry month of July to parents who hailed from the American South. Blessed with the miraculous ability to draw and paint as a child, it would not be until later in her adolescence that Eva would pick up the pen and begin to write creatively. An avid reader, Eva gobbled up science fiction books and romance novels as a child and by the age of seventeen, she had finished writing her first novel, Dixie, an interracial romance set in historical Memphis, Tennessee. She attended college at the University of California San Diego where she wrote several short stories and a handful of poems on topics such as race, gender, religion, and love. In 2006, she started graduate school at North Carolina State University. Graduate school was challenging in many personal and public ways and in 2009 she graduated with her Master of Fine Arts degree and a polished memoir about her experience with mental illness at the age of 25. Her memoir entitled When the Morning Comes will soon be available for purchase as an e-book. Eva's current projects include Dark Fruits: The Novel and a collection of short stories entitled Love and Other Short Thoughts projected to come out in time for the New Year.
